Strawberry Oats Smoothie for Weight Loss with Banana & Yogurt | Healthy Breakfast Recipe for Valentine's Day

Ingredients
  • Fresh strawberry - 200 gms (about 8 to 10)
  • Rolled oats - ½ cup
  • Plain thick curd/yogurt - 250 gms / 1 cup
  • Ripe banana - 1, medium to large
  • Honey - 2 to 3 tbsp or as per taste
  • Salt - ¼ tsp
Instructions
  1. Wash all the strawberries nicely with water to get rid of any dirt. Peel the banana and break it into smaller pieces.
  2. To cut the strawberries, first cut off the head removing the green leaves. Then chop each one into smaller pieces. You don't have to be too particular as they will anyways be blended in the smoothie.
  3. Now it’s time to start the blending. First, transfer the rolled oats to the blender and without adding any other ingredient, grind it to make a fine oats flour.
  4. Once you are happy with your oats flour, add all the other ingredients one by one - chopped strawberries, banana, yogurt, honey and salt.
  5. Now all you have to do is to blend all these ingredients nicely to make a thick & velvety smooth strawberry oats smoothie!
  6. Take time at this stage making sure all the ingredients are blended well. Also, if you feel your smoothie is too thick, add little water, about ¼ cup to make it thinner.
  7. Your healthy and delicious strawberry oats smoothie is ready! Pour them in 2 glasses and enjoy it with your fitness enthusiast (or not!) partner!

Pro tip: Grinding rolled oats to oats flour separately before adding any other liquid ingredients ensures that your oats are thoroughly ground and you don’t bite into a hard piece of rolled oats while enjoying your strawberry oats smoothie!
